American Pet Cages is a Zen Cart custom project. The entire development. design, products and customization were handled in house. Some things of note: This website is pulling a 97/100 Google PageSpeed score, has the best checkout we have ever built and has a quite fancy magnifying glass with gallery light box for product images. However, the most exclusive thing we will be looking to track from this new cart is the hidden product attributes. Shopping carts with attributes often cause the service staff hours of phone calls when shoppers forget to make a selection. Certainly we can force them with a frustrating error message when they don't but............... We decided to hide the attributes AND the add to cart button in a click-able link called "Click to Select Product Options". Like many other things we have developed, such as our checkout optimization, this new trick will be monitored for its effectiveness and feedback solicited so that we know whether it's a helpful or harmful thing. Relax, we can take these chances with our own website and then use the data to help all PRO-Webs clients.
