 Our Story

This is my granddaughter Paige. Paige is a smart, funny and super sweet little girl who was born with Cerebral Palsy. Paige came in to this world a tiny, tiny preemie with enough vigor to stay her transfer to the children's hospital... as was expected. We were told that as soon as she was delivered, she would be transferred immediately... even before we could see her. Not, Paige... She was strong and loud.

As Paige began to develop we could see that there were some issues. By age 2 and not walking it was clear and the pursuit of a diagnosis and help began. It wasn't long before we knew that Paige had CP, but what came next none of us were prepared for. Basically, the prognosis was not very promising. We did the braces and Botox shots without any real improvement until one day her doctor suggested a very complicated surgery to give her a fighting shot to walk someday.

This surgery, not very common at all was to sever part of the neural net and make her body forget all it had learned. It is far more complicated than this, but that's the gist of it. So after surgery Paige would not even be potty trained any longer... She would physically be a baby again. Its funny, because I remember thinking that she worked very hard to potty train with her disability and she would be very disappointed. But, in true Paige style, onwards and upwards... She only moved forward.

This fantastic surgery to give Paige her new lease on life was performed at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital... As it was the ONLY facility suited to perform this very complicated procedure. I have to tell you, Paige's bright and cheerful disposition was nowhere to be found when she woke from the long surgery. She was in a great deal of pain, however, those nurses and doctors managed to keep her comfortable and raise her spirits. Paige's parents were fed, housed and completely supported by the staff at Rainbow during Paige's long stay. We never left her alone and those nurses never slacked off on the coffee either.

PRO-Webs has made some great strides since we began. We have always sought to be a transparent and trustworthy company in a sea of confusion and changing rules. In early 2009 we moved from our sole proprietorship in to a fully incorporated company. In keeping with our promotion of ethical choices and community support, we sought to bring on Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital as OUR chosen charitable partner. How could we have possibly chosen otherwise? So the donation page that is linked all over this page and our sites is our own... Anastasia and Tatiana Dogaru

Ana and Tati: Conjoined Twins, born in January 2004 in Italy, but traveled all the way to the United States for medical monitoring when they were just a few months old. In April 2007, they were transferred to world renown Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Ohio to be evaluated for surgical separation.
