An algorithm is a set of finite, ordered steps to solve a mathematical equation. Search Engine's use a proprietary algorithm set to calculate or determine the relevance of its indexed web pages with relationship to your particular search query. Search engine algorithms are very closely guarded in order to prevent blunt exploitation of organic algorithmic results. Search engine algorithms are also changed and improved frequently to incorporate new data and improve relevancy for search.
