Cross Linking

Cross linking refers to linking the websites you own into each other.  Cross linking is generally done to improve link popularity, however when you cross link you are in fact creating a link network, which can be construed as "manipulating or gaming"  Google for the purpose of rank, which can in fact result in a penalty from Google.
