A doorway page is also known as a gateway page or a jump page. A doorway page is simply a URL with minimal, but dense content designed to rank highly for a specific keyword or phrase and funnel visitors to a specific Landing Page. Search engines may consider doorway pages as a lesser form of cloaking or spam if not done correctly. However, doorway pages are best used as genuine landing pages designed to measure the success of a promotional campaign, such as an A/B Test.
