False Drop

A false drop is a term for a page displayed in the SERP that is not relevant to the search query. Most commonly, and innocently, false drops are a result of words with multiple meanings and the same spelling. If the search query gives no indication of context or meaning, then the search engine has no way of predicting which of the possible meaning of the word(s) the user is searching for. The term "post", for example if searched, can mean a fence post or a blog post. Other possible, yet far less likely causes of false drops include spamdexing and algorithm bugs.
