Hidden text is a form of Black Hat SEO in which web pages are filled with a large amount of text that is the same color as the background, rendering keywords invisible to the site visitors but detectable to a search engine crawler. Multiple Title Tags or HTML comments are alternative hidden text techniques as is CSS text set to display "none". Hidden text is fairly easy for search engines to detect and can easily result in banning, manual penalties or reduced rank.
