Keyword Density is a mathematical formula used to determine the textual density of keywords and phrases on a web page. The formula keyword density is the total number of keyword occurrences on the page divided by the total number of words on a page. Keywords density was thought to be a very potent SEO determining factor, but has been less and less important with the advancement in full text search and phrase rank... Making the relevance score of a page's ranking elements far more important. Keyword density over 5% is thought to be keyword spamming.
