Keyword stuffing is an SEO term referring to the black hat or doshonest practice of adding superfluous keywords to a web page for the purpose of gaming the search engines ranking algorithm. The stuffed words are added solely for the benefit of search engines and not human visitors, generally in rather unatural or unreadable textual configurations. The words may or may not be visible to human visitors, thos which are hidden are called hidden text. This is most commonlyknown as keyword spamming, and it is also possible that search engines may penalize the importance or weight of large blocks of text that do not conform to normal grammatical structures, such as listing.
