PageRank or PR is Google's proprietary measurement matrix used to asses the credibility of a web page, on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest. Page's accumulate PR by getting people to link to them. PR is page specific and can be bled out to other pages which it links to... Unless the links are redirected or nofollowed to prevent the PageRank from being transferred.
