A Splash Page is an entry page or main page of a web site that is generally interactive or graphically intense. Splash pages are also referred to as intros or intro pages as well. Many splash pages are designed using Flash and many times these pages with little or no content will not be displayed to crawlers as the default page. A similar entry page with targeted content for a specific campaign/product for example is known as a landing page.
