Taxonomy is a term which refers to a set of mutually accepted principles or rules according by which information can more logically be stored in an information retrieval system or search engine. The term is widely used in science to describe the classification of natural elements, but is most commonly used to describe the supplied category structure for submitting products through shopping feeds.
