If you have doubted the need for fresh, related content on your store pages…. You better rethink your position! Google has improved the search results snippets to include “jump to” links to the page’s specific area containing the related content.
While I am not huge Microsoft fan, I have come to accept the web design frustrations that Microsoft has dealt us with relationship to Internet Explorer. While I accept these IE display issues and use IE hacks and stylesheets to solve them daily, Microsoft has always maintained that they are correct and of course FireFox, Chrome and Opera for example are wrong…. Hmmm.
I have said over and over the major search engines, Google included, DO NOT use the keyword tag…. Like talking to the wall. So, to finally put this subject to rest and answer this with absoluteness… Matt Cutts has clearly stated in no uncertain terms that Google Does Not Use the Meta Keyword Tag to Rank Websites!
The bottom line is, you must maintain a secure shopping cart for your customers. You have tons of valid and robust options at your disposal in the current market, so having an insecure or out of date network or cart is totally inexcusable.
One way of promoting your web store and products can be achieved for free. As an additional bonus, this “free” marketing method can boost your store’s backlinks too.
